Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Transformasional Dan Kompensasi Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Dengan Motivasi Kerja Sebagai Variabel Mediasi Pada Perguruan Tinggi Swasta Di Kota Makassar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan kompensasi terhadap kinerja pegawai, dengan motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi, pada perguruan tinggi swasta di Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 257 responden yang merupakan pegawai tetap dari enam perguruan tinggi swasta di Makassar. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Squares (PLS) dengan bantuan SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional dan kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja dan kinerja pegawai. Motivasi kerja terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja pegawai serta memediasi secara parsial pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan kompensasi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Uji simultan juga menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi kepemimpinan transformasional, kompensasi, dan motivasi kerja mampu menjelaskan sebagian besar variasi kinerja pegawai. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dalam memperkuat literatur manajemen sumber daya manusia, serta kontribusi praktis berupa rekomendasi strategi peningkatan kinerja melalui pengembangan kepemimpinan yang inspiratif, kebijakan kompensasi yang adil, dan pengelolaan motivasi kerja yang efektif.
